When will a house or building need Repointing?
It is crucial that you can pinpoint when it is time to repoint. Identifying if you need repointing is extremely easy. When checking the brickwork, a great way to go by is to measure the depth against the height of the mortar. When the depth is bigger than the height of the mortar gap, you’ll need repointing. You can also simply use your finger to test the pointing, simply dig a finger into a joint between bricks and see if the mortar comes away. Try this test in multiple areas of both the front and back of the home.
